Torq Software and Sentient Computing held a short morning presentation covering the work we’re doing in the 3D Scada arena. Doug Bester did the first part of the presentation and then I covered some more technical aspects in the second part of the presentation. The second part was also focused on the MVX Object Server technology and less on the use of the 3D visualization. In retrospect, we should have had more visual impact from showing more of the 3D SCADA examples. However, the less visual object server concepts are still very important though they may not be as visually appealing. The following video has been split up into two portions to fit in with the 15 minutes limit provided by Youtube. We’ve decided to move towards Youtube hosting of video content because of the following reasons:
· Its easily playable on platforms such as ipads and iphones.
· The time limit for videos is now 15 minutes up from the original 5 minutes.
· The video resolution allowed is now practical for showing screencasts.
