The C++ Language
Torq Software has a long history of
C++ programming language software development and maintenance. The
MacroView Version 3 product functionality is implemented in C++. For new green field software development our preference is a .NET based solution but they are plenty of development scenarios where a C++ implementation is the best approach. For example, we chose to implement the
MacroView OPC Server functionality using C++ instead of using a .NET implementation. This was done to reduce the deployment footprint, performance and existing code integration reasons.
